Do I need a key or an account? No. The API and the MCP server are open. Is there a rate limit? Yes: 200 requests per minute for each IP address. A request over the limit gets a429 response. See the API reference.
How do I connect an AI assistant? Add the MCP server at https://api.urantia.dev/mcp. See MCP Servers for each client.
Can the assistant change anything? No. Every tool only reads. There are no accounts, and the server does not receive your conversation, only the tool calls the assistant makes. Requests are logged as the Privacy Policy describes.
Where does the text come from? The English text of The Urantia Book is in the public domain. See Open Source and the Terms of Service.
How do you handle data? See the Privacy Policy.
